The Conference uses 115-130 performers each year. They come from across the state, around the country, and even from the international community.  Readers must register to participate.

Participants read roles in the Play Lab, in addition to having the opportunity to participate in the Valdez Theatre Fringe, the Monologue Workshop, and other classes, as well as having access to included daily lunch and a closing meal, a two-hour group cruise to Shoup Glacier, and the chance to spend the week watching plays, both readings and performances.
